Easter is a time of warmth, comfort, hope and good deeds. It is at such moments that we especially want no child to be left without attention and a sense of celebration. This year, the Children of War charity foundation traditionally organized an Easter marathon for children from orphanages. From April 3 to 10, the foundation’s team visited 13 institutions, traveling thousands of kilometers to personally bring children holiday gifts and create a real Easter atmosphere for them.

The Children of War Charity Foundation visited:

1. Zhytomyr Center for Medical Rehabilitation and Palliative Medicine;
2. Denishivskyi Training and Rehabilitation Center;
3. Vinnytsia Educational and Rehabilitation Center “Gnizdechko”;
4. Khmelnytskyi Specialized Children’s Home “Berizka”;
5. Golenyshchiv Special Auxiliary Boarding School for Orphans;
6. Klevan Special Boarding School;
7. Klevan Inclusive Resource Center;
8. Special preschool children’s home (Rivne);
9. Verkhodniprovskyi orphanage-boarding house №1;
10. Kyiv Regional Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children “Sezenkiv”;
11. Center for Social and Psychological Rehabilitation of Children “Pereyaslav”;
12. Family-type house (Baryshivka);
13. Social Services Center of the Baryshiv Village Council.

The foundation team knew that the children were really looking forward to us. That is why Easter cakes, sweets and small gifts – sets of air plasticine – were purchased in advance. At the same time, we understood that not only gifts and sweets are important for children, but also emotions, attention and time spent together. Therefore, animators and aqua makeup artists were involved in the marathon. Dancing, interesting interactive classes, aqua makeup, and at the end – sweet gifts. It was a real holiday for every child.

Dozens of hugs, happy eyes, and hundreds of “thank you” words were the best reward for us. The Children of War Foundation successfully completed the Easter Marathon with warmth in the heart and memories that will remain in the memory for a long time.
