The All-Ukrainian boxing tournament “Kyiv Cup” for the Klitschko brothers’ prizes was held in the capital. The tournament lasted from May 25 to 31 and brought together athletes from 16 regions of Ukraine.
On Kyiv Day, May 31, spectators saw the culmination of the competition — 15 spectacular final fights with the participation of the best athletes of the country. As part of the ongoing assistance to the Kyiv Boxing Federation and support for children, youth and sports, the Children of War Foundation joined the large-scale sporting event, which brought together the strongest boxers from all over Ukraine. Vitaliy and Wladimir Klitschko attended the grand finale. Legends of world boxing congratulated the young boxers and presented the main prize — the Kyiv Cup.
The best boxer of the tournament was Andriy Khaletsky, an athlete supported by the Children of War Foundation. He received a special award — a bronze statuette of the Klitschko brothers. Previously, the Kyiv Cup was won by Vitaliy and Wladimir Klitschko, as well as the absolute world boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk. New challenges, international starts and the fight for even higher sporting heights await Andriy. We congratulate Andriy on another victory and wish him confident performances and new championship titles!
“Kyiv is a city of talented people. And a city of athletes who glorify Ukraine,” said Vitaliy Klitschko. Thank you to the Kyiv Boxing Federation for organizing one of the largest sporting events of the spring!
