The Children of War charity foundation continues to support sports and the development of young talents. On August 29, the foundation’s team traveled to the city of Mukachevo, where the All-Ukrainian Boxing Tournament “Pearl of the Carpathians” was held, to support young Ukrainian athletes — Mykhailo Sydorenko and Serhiy Artemenko, whom the foundation accompanies on their path to victory.

The competition lasted from August 25 to 31 and brought together the strongest young boxers from all over the country. The guys confidently reached the finals in their weight categories and demonstrated a high level of training:

• Mykhailo Sydorenko won the gold medal;
  Serhiy Artemenko won the silver medal.

The “Pearl of the Carpathians” tournament is a qualifying stage for the European Boxing Championship, which will soon be held in Montenegro. Therefore, the victories gained open the way for our athletes to new achievements at the international level.

The Children of War Foundation is proud of the boys’ achievements and is confident that many more victories await them. We will continue to support talented children, because they are the future of a strong and independent Ukraine.
